Hi all. This is me approx 6 weeks into my training. I was 164lbs at beginning of Jan ‘10. I’ve been trying to lose weight without muscle. In fact i’m now lifting slightly heavier weights. My new weight is 160 pounds – slow going i know, but the aim is to lose fat, not muscle. It’s also taken me a few weeks to find the balance in my diet. I’m currently experimenting with carb cycling in a sense – on occasions I think i have over depleted my glycogen stores leading to difficult workouts. In the next few weeks i will be eating maintenance weight cals or more prior to my heaviest exercise day and over eating on this day. On my easier training days, I will cut calories more. Hopefully this will help increase my energy when needed, but overall, I hope to live on a slight calorific deficit. we will see! watch this space! any advice much appreciated. ps I now have my own rowing machine so i’m doing cardio 3 x per week and it’s great!

Male Empowerment: Pole Fitness and Hardware Store Haul Video!

Going to the Hardware Store, buying cement and tools, home repair projects that wil never actually get done, public misbehavior, and Pole FITNESS moves done solely for MUSCLE POWER, ENDURANCE, and CONDITONING! This weekend’s exercise routine: 1. 35 miles on the bike Saturday, testing out the polartec long underwear in 40 degree weather. 2. A 2 hour “Hashing Ride” between 5 Parks in Oak Park/River Forest/Fprest Park early Sunday Morning. Hashing usually means running a marathon from bar to bar and downing a shot or a beer. In my Hash, I road 10.2 miles to EVERY local park with a pole and did an endurance hold in the split grip (ex-butt) to build strength in my S/G. My best time was 30 seconds (with rubber gloves on–it was 35 degrees–no grip at all) A pole video men can relate to! Enjoy…it’s really just for FUN! Joel
